La leggenda del soul ha registrato una serie di brani sensazionali che attingono a piene mani dalle sue radici gospel. Mio figlio Marcel ha composto la linea di basso per "1963". Mia sorella Maggie Peebles si è unita a me per due canzoni che cantavamo da bambini. Il mio leader di band britannico, Ernie McKone, ha inciso "Shine A Light" a Londra, il che è giusto visto che è un classico dei Rolling Stones. Mark Nevers, che ha prodotto alcuni dei miei precedenti album di musica americana, è intervenuto per dare un tocco di classe ad alcuni brani.
