Pubblicato originariamente nel 1994, è un album entrato da subito nella leggenda. Il brano di 14 minuti Change Your Mind, presentava quella peculiarità tipica dei Crazy Horse che Young riuscì a ottenere mantenendo le sessioni il più spontanee e immediate possibile, permettendo ai brani di respirare e prendere vita in tempo reale. SLEEPS WITH ANGELS è stato l'ultimo album prodotto da David Briggs, collaboratore di lunga data di Neil, scomparso nel 1995 all'età di 51 anni, il che conferisce un significato speciale a queste registrazioni.
