Live At Shea Stadium 1982 viene pubblicato per la prima volta in doppio CD e triplo LP, entrambi disponibili dal 1° Marzo 2024.
Lo show uscì originariamente nel 2015 in DVD e Blu-ray; The Who (Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle e Kenney Jones) si esibirono nello storico stadio del baseball del Queens di New York ed eseguirono classici brani e rare canzoni del loro repertorio live: “Pinball Wizard”, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, “My Generation”, “Substitute”, “Who Are You”, “I Can’t Explain”, “See Me Feel Me”, “Baba O’Riley”… Il tour promuoveva It’s Hard, il disco del quartetto pubblicato nel 1982, e la set list comprendeva varie canzoni da quell’album, molte delle quali vennero proposte dalla band solo in quel tour.
Il North American tour degli Who del 1982 fu l’ultimo con Kenney Jones alla batteria, terminato il tour la band tornò ad esibirsi dal vivo solo nel 1989. Le registrazioni arrivano dallo show della seconda serata allo Shea Stadium di New York, quella del 13 Ottobre 1982.
