Nel 2014, il produttore Knxwledge (Glen Earl Booth) e il cantante/rapper Anderson .Paak (Brandon Paak Anderson) si sono conosciuti via twitter. Knwledge ha inviato un beat a .Paak (che aveva già contribuito vocalmente ad alcuni album di artisti come The Game, 9th Wonder, Jhene Aiko, Flying Lotus e Dr Dre), che ha risposto nel giro di un giorno, culminando poi nel singolo “Suede”, hit di NxWorries. L'album di debutto “Yes Lawd!” è stato pubblicato nel 2016, ma dopo alcuni singoli/video clip di grande successo
