«Pictures At An Exhibition» è uscito nel 1971, dopo che la band aveva registrato l'album dal vivo alla Newcastle City Hall nello stesso anno.
Si tratta di una reinterpretazione del ciclo pianistico «Quadri da un'esposizione» del compositore russo Modest Mussorgsky, oltre al bis «Nutrocker», una versione rock di Kim Vincent Fowley della marcia dei soldatini di stagno tratta da «Lo schiaccianoci» di Tchajkovskij. Nel 1971 l'album raggiunse il terzo posto nella classifica degli album britannici.
