Un ritorno nella Città Eterna.
Otto anni dopo il suo ultimo concerto romano, Steve Hogarth è tornato nella capitale italiana per un evento speciale: la registrazione di SPQR, avvenuta il 3 febbraio 2024 alla Sala Sinopoli dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica. L’artista britannico ha scelto Roma come cornice di un progetto che unisce la sua sensibilità musicale alla collaborazione con la band italiana RanestRane, già compagni di palco nel 2015. Hogarth stesso ha dichiarato: “Quando sei a Roma… trovati un’incredibile band italiana e suonaci assieme!”.Il concerto ha visto Hogarth affiancato dai RanestRane, che hanno arricchito l’esibizione con un accompagnamento acustico raffinato: arpa, mandolino, harmonium e tablas hanno dato nuova veste a brani storici dei Marillion e a materiale solista. A rendere l’atmosfera ancora più suggestiva è stato il contributo del coro Flowing Chords, capace di amplificare la dimensione corale e cinematografica dello spettacolo.
